How much does a Blimpie franchise cost?
The franchise fee for your first and second franchise is $18,000 each. The franchise fee for additional units will be discounted to $10,000. The estimated initial investment for a traditional Blimpie restaurant runs between $138,150 and $395,050*.

What are the financial requirements to qualify for a Blimpie?
To purchase a Blimpie franchise, you will need a minimum credit score of 600, a net worth of $250,000, and the required liquid capital of $50,000.
If I don't meet the financial or operational criteria to become a franchisee, can I partner with someone who does?
Yes, you can. As long as your partner owns at least 50% of your organization, this can be a great solution.
Will you help me secure financing?
Blimpie does not offer financing. However, Blimpie does have a number of 3rd party financial institutions that offer financing that may be able to help.
Is Blimpie listed in the Small Business Administration (SBA) Registry?
Yes, the franchise registry (www.franchiseregistry.com) is a national online listing of approved franchise systems whose franchisees will receive accelerated loan processing through the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). Through this process, small business owners are provided with streamlined and faster loan processing. Franchise systems not listed on the site are not eligible for expedited loan processing through the SBA.
Is there a continuing royalty fee?
The continuing royalty fee is 6% of gross sales, excluding sales tax. A $200 weekly minimum may apply to traditional locations.
Is there an advertising fee and what does it cover?
Currently the advertising fee is 4% of gross sales. Fees go to National Blimpie Marketing, Brand Building, Promotional Kits for your store and Local Marketing. You will be assigned a Marketing Manager that will assist you with your Marketing needs. From banners, to radio spots to flyers to mailers, our Marketing professionals are there to help. They also work with Blimpie Franchisees throughout the country and can assist with Best Practices from other markets.
I've never built a store before. How does all of this work?
Your Blimpie Representative will guide you through all phases of the site selection, lease negotiation, construction, training, grand opening and ongoing processes for marketing and operations.
How do I find premier locations?
Your Blimpie Representative and Real Estate team work to help you secure the best locations in each city, once you become a franchisee. Once you become a franchisee, you can also work with the Blimpie team to research and suggest outstanding Blimpie sites.
What is a typical Blimpie Location?
Here are some of the items Blimpie looks for in its locations:
- Approximately 1200 sq. feet
- High day time traffic
- Minimum 20,000 people
- Min 1500 businesses w/ 16,000 employees
- Household income > $50,000
- Close proximity to larger employers or heavy business traffic
- High Visibility location with maximum signage
- Easy access to and from the site
- Exclusive use (sandwiches)

I'm not a marketing expert. How do I build sales?
Building sales takes effort on many different levels - from running your business with monitored food costs, to strong operations, to local store marketing, to most importantly ensuring that you give every customer a reason to return. The Blimpie Marketing Team will assist you by creating national marketing initiatives and advertising that are instrumental to building sales. Increasing sales takes diligent effort in all areas of your business. Your Marketing Manager can work with you to develop a marketing plan to execute in your trade area.
How many people may attend training?
Up to two people are included in the training process as part of the initial franchise fee. Additional staff may attend for a fee. We are proud of our training process and we take our new Franchisees step by step and share the information needed to be successful.
