The first Blimpie submarine sandwich restaurant opened on April 4, 1964, in Hoboken, New Jersey. Today, Blimpie-branded sub sandwich franchise restaurants are located in shopping centers, convenience stores, gas station food marts, colleges, hospitals, and more.
